With the beginning of the New Year we see the same dry pattern we have seen in the past, which means that with this mild weather pattern we should have a good fish outing at Squaw Creek on the 14th of this month. But, as always with Squaw Creek, there is a “plan B,” so keep an eye on your email.


We have a busy three months ahead of us in activities and planning. On January 21st Tom Smith is coordinating the fly fishing expo at the Sheep Show. If you can give him a hand, call him. On the 25th we will have guide Kent Anderson talk about steelhead fishing in Oregon. This will NOT be at NDOW, but rather in the meeting room at Cabela’s at 6:30pm.


Nominations for officers, Awards (Mid Lipera, and Cal Bird) need to be in to the BOD by this month in writing. Email any Board Member.


Upcoming is our Banquet and the Team USA Qualifier. If you missed it in the last newsletter, we are combining our banquet with the Team USA Qualifying event on March 10th and 11th. We will need help with the Team USA event and Banquet. Right now we need support in fundraising to make the Silent Auction and Raffle a success. Call any BOD member with any ideas or support you can offer. We could use more participants in this effort. With Team USA at our Banquet we will have 32 great fly fishers for us to listen and talk to! This will be one you won’t want to miss. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!!
