Save Our Salmon

Eric Petlock, Nevada Coordinator for Save Our Salmon, has shared the following documents with us:

Annual Fish Rescue

Annually TMWA shutdowns their diversion ditches for maintenance and we are called to duty by NDOW to rescue the fish from these ditches. Have you helped? Check out this link to see what we have rescued from the ditch in the past.

Other

Each winter we also send volunteers into the schools to help with the Trout in the Classroom project.

There are other opportunities to volunteer with NDOW. The volunteer website requires a login name and password.

Macro Invertebrate

In 2003, the Board of Directors commissioned the building a unique Macro Invertebrate and fly tying display. The display is currently at the Verdi Nature Center and Library.
